Ancient Faith. Modern Community: A Place at the Table for You.
THE ALTAR CHURCH
Sundays at 10:00 am: 233 New Hope Road Anderson, SC 29626
A Place to Belong. A Faith to Explore.
We are Missional, Spirit-filled, and Sacramental
Our story started in a living room. For a while now, we’ve been gathering in a small circle to build a foundation of honest, sincere faith. Now, we’re opening our doors wider to make more room at the table.
There's a seat for you. Whether you’ve been following our journey from a distance or you’re just looking for a place where it’s okay to have more questions than answers, You are welcome here.
Bring the kids. We have a dedicated space just for them—a place where they can feel right at home and explore the Christian faith.

What to Expect
Ancient Rhythms. Modern Community.
We believe worship should be more than an event—it’s an encounter. Our service is rooted in the practices of the early church, blending contemporary worship music and liturgical depth with a warm, relational atmosphere.
-
A Place for Everyone: Whether you've followed Jesus for years or are just starting to ask questions, you won't get lost in the shuffle. We’re a growing community of about 20 people where every face is known and every guest is welcome.
-
Easy to Find: Just look for our sign! It will guide you to enter through the Fellowship Hall doors.
-
Stay a While: We begin our worship at 10:00 AM, with coffee, snacks, and community following the service.

Starting June 7th- New Message Series. "WILD & ANCIENT:
When the ‘Naturally Supernatural’ Becomes Your New Normal"
Too often, we try to tame the Holy Spirit—turning the "Rushing Mighty Wind" into a casual breeze. But the Early Church didn't just have a philosophy; they had a force.
Pentecost was a "Before and After" event in human history. Since that day, the world hasn’t been the same, and you don’t have to stay the same either. That said, isn't time to start moving in the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit—the untamed, operative power of God.
Join us as we bridge the Ancient roots of our Christian faith with the Wild reality of the Spirit. We’re moving beyond theory and into the "Naturally Supernatural."
Week 1: The Ignition (The Before & After)
-
The Concept: Pentecost wasn't a ceremony; it was an explosion.
-
The Text: Acts 2:1-4 / Acts 1:8
Week 2: The Evidence (Gifts as Tools, Not Toys)
-
The Concept: Ministering in the Spirit’s power is the "Ancient" way to address modern pain.
-
The Text: 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 / Acts 3:1-10 (Peter and the Lame Beggar)
Week 3: The Confrontation (Clashing with the Status Quo)
-

-
The Text: Acts 4:13-31.
Week 4: The Outpouring (Your Turn)
-
The Concept: Passing the mantle. The "After" starts now.
-
The Text: Acts 10 (Cornelius’ House) or Acts 19:1-7

Beyond Solitary: Why the Trinity Is Important
What does the mystery of the Trinity have to do with our daily lives?
In our latest podcast episode, we dive into the heart of who God is: an eternal, loving community of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Because we are created in His image, our faith isn't meant to be lived out in isolation.
We talk about how the life of the Trinity shapes three beautiful dimensions of spiritual growth:
1️. Anchored in Christ (Reconciled to the Father)
2️. Connected to His Church (Living in Community)
3️. Commissioned for His Cause (Sent out by the Holy Spirit)
It’s an encouraging look at how the love of the Triune God gives us deep roots in fellowship and active wings in service. Grab a cup of coffee, give it a listen, and share your thoughts in the comments!
